3 upgrades its plans yet again

IN BRIEF | Responding to the end of its recent half-price promotion, 3 has announced it has doubled the allowances on its 3G HSDPA plans.
"The new pricing available to new and existing 3 Mobile Broadband customers from Wednesday, 16th January includes $29 per month for 2 gigabytes of data, $49 per month for 4 gigabytes and $69 per month for 6 gigabytes", said the announcement.
The ISP has also launched a new 500MB plan for $15/month if you're an existing 3 customer. A free USB modem is also still on offer if you sign up for 24 months on any of the plans.
But 3 still can't compete with Vodafone's 5GB plan for $39. It also still attracts a $1.65/MB roaming charge outside of the company's 3G coverage (which in Australia is mainly limited to capital cities).
